Santa Mama (WIP)

Trying to get back into the swing of Illustrator. This isn't quite up-to-date, I already changed the position of the sun, since the color almost fades into the bathing suit. Also made it smaller. I'll post more as I get further, later on.

Yikes

So sorry for pretty much abandoning this blog! I'm trying to figure things out - get a kickstart on the new year, you know? I'm afraid I'm not very good at organizing, or I'd have tackled this place right away. I mean, I am good at organizing, but tend to get over-invested when it's my things (mostly because I only want to do it once).

I have made a new (more "professional" for the public) blog on my alternate e-mail. It's here. It's clean. It's NEW.

That said, it will have less, ah, zesty content. I'm not really ashamed of what I like or do, but I do prefer to keep it a bit more on the safe side with content, if and when I can. Some things I personally don't feel require censorship (breasts, for example - it just feels silly), and I've almost never been one to filter myself. That's not the same as refusing to think about one's stances and beliefs, by the by...I'm all for learning and very much for self-applying it!

Anyway.

Just a quick dust-off post, I suppose. I'll be organizing and updating tags, designs, etc, if not in a slow manner. My birthday is in four days (24 years old!!), and I'm unusually aware of it. I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm excited, but...I think it's, maybe, a turning point? We'll just have to see.

See you around~

Not quite dusty, yet

Went to the Barnes and Noble on US 1 highway today. The big two story one.

I know it's silly, but I find that it's kind of exciting...I rarely get to go to two-story book stores, so I get a little giddy.

Anyways, got a few things with some Christmas money...a new sketchbook (purely for illustrations and practice), 75% off Xmas and holiday cards for next year (I WILL BE PREPARED!), an issue of The Economist, and One Piece manga volume 1. I never did finish the manga or the anime - both of which were (and, I hear, ARE still) good. I want to take the time to enjoy it, again - fully, this time.

Of course, then my mom, being as awesome as she is, revealed a sneaky gift she bought for me while I was off searching for things:

Happy (belated) Birthday to me~!

Still, I'd like to head back and maybe get one of those wooden model figures...I need to practice drawing more realistic anatomy, again! In fact, I'm trying my hand at it, now...

[my oc, Pike]

That's really all there is to report, at the moment. I'm going to keep drawing, then hopefully head to bed BEFORE 6 AM. For once.
